Panic with the 41-A notices issued by police in the Varra Ravinder Reddy case, several YCP social media activists in Pulivendula and other places went into hiding fearing police crackdown. All those associated with the obscene posts made by Varra were given notices and summoned for questioning, and everyone went into hiding.
In the same case, a search warrant was issued against MP YS Avinash Reddy PA Raghav Reddy. Based on the statement of YSRCP social media activist Varra Ravinder Reddy, the police have issued 41A notices to several YSRCP conveners and co-conveners in the YSRCP district.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, they went to the houses of six party social media activists in Pulivendula and Kadapa areas and pasted notices. They came to the house of YSRCP social media district convener Vivekananda Reddy from Pulivendula and pasted a 41A notice.
Since Vivekananda Reddy was not at home at that time, they informed his wife and came and pasted the notice. The notices stated that he should come to the Pulivendula DSP office at 10 am on Saturday. But Vivekananda Reddy did not go for questioning.
The police pasted notices at the houses of district co-conveners Sunitha, Nishant, Vara Kumar and two others, but none of them turned up. With this, the lawyers of the party and the victim’s family members asked Pulivendula DSP Murali Nayak to provide a list of those they want to question, and they will present them before the police.
Varra Ravinder Reddy’s wife Kalyani alleged that the police tortured him. She alleged that a person named Bhushan created fake accounts in her husband’s name and posted obscene posts. Before Raghav Reddy’s anticipatory bail petition filed in the Kadapa court came up for hearing, the police issued a search warrant for him.
A search warrant notice has been pasted at his house in Ambakapalle, Lingala mandal. These developments have caused panic among YSRCP leaders. They are worried about when and who will be arrested. All those facing serious allegations are going into hiding and approaching the courts.
