Palasa To Get New Cargo Airport, Promising Jobs And Economic Growth In Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is poised to see some major infrastructure development with the go-ahead for a new cargo airport in Palasa, Srikakulam district. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, the state’s own son, confirmed the project and underscored its prospects for economic growth and local development.

In a public hearing, Minister Naidu appealed to citizens of the area to accept the project and let go of all misconceptions. He brought to the notice that the airport would provide direct and indirect employment opportunities for nearly 5 lakh people, with benefits for farmers, workers, and local enterprises throughout the region.

The meeting, conducted at the Palasa Railway Institute, had the Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, Agriculture Minister of Andhra Pradesh Atchannaidu, Palasa MLA Gouthu Sireesha, and some senior officials among its attendees. The officials assured farmers that there would be no injustice for anyone during the construction of the airport and re-emphasized the long-term advantage of the project for local people.

Once completed, the Palasa Cargo Airport will be an important logistics and trade hub that will provide new avenues for business and commerce while creating opportunities for substantial job creation. This project is a landmark initiative in the direction of economic development and modern infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
