The out-going Telangana DGP Jitender said that strict action has been taken against cybercrimes and narcotics in the state and that a continuous war is being waged against both of them. DGP Jitender’s retirement ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Telangana Police Academy. He received a salute from the police. He said that in the last 15 months, law and order has been brought under control in the state.
He revealed that many steps have been taken to reduce the crime rate across the state. Stating that Telangana Police has received good recognition at the national level, he said that Telangana is in first place according to the India Justice Report. He expressed satisfaction for working in key positions in the police department in AP and Telangana for the last 33 years.
Jitender said that he was born and raised in Punjab and serving the people in the police department is an unforgettable experience. He said that his 40 years of life have passed like 40 days.
He said that people have been protected from groups like Naxalism and terrorism. He felt happy that they have dealt with the floods effectively and have organized festivals like Ganesh Nimajjanam, Sri Rama Navami and Bakrid without any mistake.
He revealed that the Telangana Police Department has worked not only for the people of Telangana but also for other states. The arrest of betting app operators, cyber criminals and those who commit financial crimes are proof of this.
He said that people have faith in the Telangana Police, as they are always at the forefront in maintaining peace and security. Stating that the Telangana Police Department is ranked number one in the country, Jitender said that technology is very useful in controlling crimes.

Stating that the incoming DGP Shivdhar Reddy is worthy for the post of DGP, he said that he has a good friendship with Shivdhar Reddy and has many years of experience working in various departments in the police department. He expressed hope that Shivdhar Reddy’s services will be of great benefit to the people of Telangana.
