Former Chief Minister and BJP leader BS Yediyurappa has been granted bail by the Karnataka High Court in a sexual harassment case. The court has directed that he should not be arrested until the next hearing, scheduled for June 17. This case involves allegations of molesting a 17-year-old girl, for which a non-bailable warrant had been issued against Yediyurappa.
Yediyurappa sought the high court’s intervention to quash the complaint related to the investigation being conducted by the Special Investigation Team of the Criminal Investigation Department. He is set to appear before the CID on June 17. In light of this, his lawyer requested the court to stay the arrest, and the court agreed to this request.
