Even some of the YSRCP activists had urged party activists to attack leaders from the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP.
In recent developments, several YSRCP leaders have been arrested in connection with an attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) headquarters. Others have sought anticipatory bail and are currently appearing for police questioning, all part of the ongoing tensions with the TDP. High-profile figures such as former MP Nandigam Suresh and Borugadda Anil are now in custody due to their roles in these incidents targeting the TDP.
The spotlight has now shifted to BJP leaders following the assault on BJP National Secretary and the only BJP minister in Andhra Pradesh, Satyakumar. Nandigam Suresh and Borugadda Anil have been charged with attempted murder in this case, and their arrests have thrown YSRCP leaders into disarray.
In a significant moment during his visit to the three capitals camp in 2023, BJP National General Secretary Satyakumar expressed solidarity with farmers and criticized then-Chief Minister Jagan along with the YSR Congress Party. He urged farmers to remain resilient before departing the camp. Sadly, his visit was overshadowed by attacks from YSR Congress workers, which resulted in injuries to several BJP activists. Following this, the BJP filed a complaint against 25 individuals for their involvement in the assault on Satyakumar.
There are allegations that police did not take action against YSR Congress leaders during their time in power. However, with the current coalition government in place, investigations into previous cases have accelerated. In the ongoing inquiry into the attack on Satyakumar, police have officially charged Nandigam Suresh (Accused 1) and Borugadda Anil (Accused 2) with attempted murder. Should they receive bail, there remains a possibility of re-arrest concerning the charges against Satyakumar.
