Nara Lokesh says No Delay In Taking Action Against Irregularities of The Jagan’s Regime

Minister Nara Lokesh made it clear that there is no delay in taking action against the irregularities of the YSRCP government, but the legal process is being followed in all matters. He was answering media questions in Delhi on the political and government situation in the state.

He said that the coalition parties had jointly said before the elections that action would be taken against the illegal liquor, sand and land mafias of the YSRCP leaders. He said that an investigation is currently underway and action will be taken against those who have done wrong as per the law.

Lokesh ridiculed former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy’s claims that he would return to power again in the next elections, but the people have not yet recovered from Jagan’s 1.O. Lokesh said that the state has not yet recovered from Jagan’s exploitation and said that people will be surprised to see the things that come to light in the liquor affair.

Strongly refuting Jagan]s criticism on his Davos visit, he challenged whether Jagan is ready to discuss investments. He claimed tht MoUs have been signed for investments of Rs 6 lakh crore after the alliance came to power in the state, which will create 4 lakh jobs.  

Minister Lokesh assured that the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant will be strengthened and the package announcement has been made with the support of the central government. He said that the ArcelorMittal Steel Plant in Visakhapatnam is aimed at starting production from January 2029. He said that an official announcement will be made soon on the BPCL refinery.

Lokesh criticized Jagan for destroying the education sector in the state. He said that the number of students in government schools has fallen from 45 lakh to 32 lakh.  He lamented that the previous government had appointed people from the same community as VCs and turned universities into political centers. Lokesh said that the names of the new VCs have been finalized and sent to the Governor and Chief Minister, adding that the names will be announced within a week.
