Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to conducting a comprehensive skills assessment survey as promised by the ruling alliance. Lokesh held a review meeting with officials at his residence today to discuss the implementation of this initiative.
During the meeting, Lokesh emphasized that the primary goal of the survey is to identify and provide the skill training required by companies, thereby facilitating employment opportunities for the youth. He stressed that the survey should focus exclusively on these two objectives, avoiding any questions that might lead to misconceptions.
As part of the initiative, Lokesh directed officials to launch a pilot project for the skills assessment survey in Mangalagiri. He instructed that the survey should gather essential information to create a detailed resume for the youth, which would include their educational qualifications, employment status, and skill sets. Lokesh also highlighted the importance of updating this resume as the youth continue to enhance their skills and qualifications.
The minister further explained that prominent companies would be granted access to this data, enabling them to directly select candidates who meet their specific requirements. He reiterated that the primary objective behind the skills assessment is to bridge the gap between the skills of the youth and the needs of employers.
