Hyderabad: The Nampally Court has directed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to appear before it on October 16 in connection with the high-profile ‘Cash for Vote’ case. During the hearing held on Monday, one of the accused, Matthaiah, appeared in court, while Revanth Reddy and several other co-accused were absent.
The absent individuals include Uday Simha, Vem Krishna Kirthan, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, and Sebastian. Expressing displeasure over their absence, the court noted the non-compliance of the accused in attending the proceedings.
The defendants, including Revanth Reddy, had requested an exemption from today’s hearing, which the court accepted. However, the court has issued clear instructions for all accused to be present at the next hearing on October 16.
