Naidu Wants To Rectify Jagan’s Three Biggest Blunders Immediately

Sunday, December 22, 2024

How the previous government under YSR Congress party led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister destroyed the entire state in the name of welfare schemes is clearly evident if we look at the debts incurred in the last five years. Jagan solely concentrated on dolling out thousands of crores for various welfare schemes and failed to provide basic amenities like roads to the public.

Besides leaving the roads unrepaired for nearly five years, Jagan’s government also failed to arrest the rising prices of daily commodities. This is also one of the reasons why the YSRCP was decimated even in rural areas in the 2024 assembly elections. Also,  acute shortage of sand and also the steep hike in the price after Jagan assumed charge as CM in 2019 is another reason why people didn’t give another chance this time.

Addressing these three blunders committed by Jagan Mohan Reddy is now the biggest priority of the current regime. Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu is on a mission mode to rectify the irregularities committed by the previous government.

Naidu held a review meeting with the authorities concerned and issued strict directives to formulate a new sand policy immediately. He also directed the officials to come up with a detailed report over the steps to be taken to stop the prices of essential commodities from further increase.

Naidu convened meetings with the ministers and officials of all departments on various issues and directed them to prepare a road map to resolve these issues on a war footing. He conducted a review of the availability of sand and the new policy to be adopted. The officials explained in detail the results of the policies adopted by the previous TD government between 2014 and 2019 and the “loss” suffered by the state due to the policies of the outgoing government.

They informed the CM that the construction industry suffered heavily due to the high prices of sand and scarcity of stocks besides a lack of transparency in the maintenance of sand quarries. The officers also briefed the Chief Minister on the large-scale irregularities in the supply and marketing of sand besides the policies adopted on the online sand distribution system.

After taking stock of the situation, Naidu responded on the complaints. He issued strict instructions to start the reparation of roads all over the state. Despite not having money in the government coffers, Naidu is determined to complete new roads in the coming days.
