Nagarjuna’s first look in Kubera: Intriguing yet Classy

Critically acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Sekhar Kammula is helming a multi-starrer with Tamil star Dhanush and seasoned Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna. The first look of Kubera featuring Dhanush as a pauper evoked a stirring response from the audience and created strong hype for the film. Now, the makers unveiled Akkineni Nagarjuna’s look from the film today evening and it presents him a classy avatar with an intriguing backdrop.

The teaser, which is less than a minute, has Nagarjuna walking in a steady drizzle holding an umbrella infront of a heavy vehicle loaded with bundles of cash. A lot seems be going through his mind as he takes a few steps moving forward before stopping to notice a cash note lying on the road. He then takes out some money from his pocket and places one note inside the truck and moves ahead.

Devi Sri Prasad’s superlative background score stands out as it builds anticipation even though the teaser didn’t reveal anything concrete about the plot or Nagarjuna’s role. One thing is very clear is that Nag will be seen in author backed role which carries the narrative forward.

Now that both characters are introduced and it looks like Sekhar Kammula is attempting another interesting subject with Kubera. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead.

The shooting formalities are progressing at a brisk pace in Mumbai and the team is planning to release the film in the second half of this year.
