Since Pawan Kalyan contested from Pithapuram, it has become the center of a hidden battle between the Telugu Desam and Jana Sena cadres. TDP leader SVSN Varma, who sacrificed the Pithapuram seat for Pawan Kalyan as part of the alliance in the 2024 elections, is constantly being heard.
Especially, the frequent provocative statements made by Pawan Kalyan’s elder brother and MLC Nagababu are leading to tensions between the two parties. TDP ranks are organizing various programs from time to time, making it clear that Pawan Kalyan became the Deputy CM because of Verma’s sacrifice.
Nagababu’s comment that Pithapuram is a Jana Sena obstacle, even after being newly elected as an MLC, has created a big stir in AP. His comments that Pawan Kalyan’s victory in Pithapuram was due to the efforts of his fans and that there was no support from anyone, have gone viral.
Since then, a silent war has been going on between the TDP and Jana Sena in Pithapuram. Although the top leadership of both the parties maintaining utmost restraint , Nagababu’s comments causing a huge uproar locally.
A large number of TDP leaders attended the recent Mahanadu organized in Kadapa. On this occasion, when media representatives asked about the ground level reality of Pithapuram, the leaders there shared interesting things.
Speaking, a leader made it clear that the entire Pithapuram is TDP. He said that Pawan Kalyan won only after Varma, who is in charge of the TDP, sacrificed his seat as part of the alliance. The leaders praised Verma for working hard for the party for the last 25 years and spending huge funds.
They said that he is close enough to greet the people and activists by name in every village in Pithapuram. They informed that while the TDP strength in Pithapuram is 80 percent, the Jana Sena strength is only 20 percent. Overall, supporters and activists of TDP are saying that Varma’s stamina has once again been revealed in the Mahanadu.
These developments make it clear that TDP factions are firmly responding to the slogan of Jana Sena ‘Adda’ in Pithapuram, saying that the victory was possible only with their strength.
