The political drama is heating up in Andhra Pradesh after the state geared up towards preparing for the Rajya Sabha by-elections on Tuesday with three MPs resigning from the YSRCP. The Election Commission issued the election schedule. Notification issues on December 3: Nominations could be filed till December 10, and the elections slated for December 20.

These by-elections became necessary after Mopidevi Venkataramana, Beeda Mastan Rao, and R. Krishnaiah of YSRCP resigned from their positions. Given that YSRCP does not have enough numbers to field a candidate, the elections are expected to be uncontested, with TDP, Janasena, and BJP likely to share the three vacant seats. TDP is anticipated to secure two seats, and Janasena is expected to claim one.

During this process, rumors have started to circulate that Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan is going to nominate his brother Nagababu for one of the Rajya Sabha seats. It is said that Pawan Kalyan has reportedly suggested this in his recent tour. But Nagababu rejected all such rumors and said that he never wanted to take any political role and is still committed to helping Pawan Kalyan and working for public service.

Nagababu praised his brother, a selfless leader who gave importance to the welfare of the people rather than any personal gain. He mentioned that Pawan Kalyan’s recent visit to Delhi was due to state interests and not for his individual benefits. Nagababu said he would be content to dedicate himself to serving under Pawan Kalyan’s leadership for the progress of Andhra Pradesh.
