Barlapudi Kranthi, daughter of Kapu movement leader and YSR Congress Party leader Mudragada Padmanabham expressed concern that she came to know her father is suffering from cancer. She alleged that after learning about his health when she went to see him, her brother Giri and his relatives prevented her from meeting her father.
Expressing her deep grief in a Social Media posting, she said “My father Mudragada Padmanabham is battling cancer. But, my brother Giri is deliberately refusing to provide the necessary emergency treatment to my father. Recently, a former YSR Congress Party member tried to take me to see my father with good intentions. But, my brother Giri and his father-in-law did not allow me to meet my father.”
“I am deeply saddened that no information has been released about my father’s health condition. Even close relatives and followers are not aware of the latest situation on this matter. My father has been detained by Giri and his in-laws’ close associates. He has been kept in isolation. He has been told that no one has been allowed to contact or talk to my father,” she revealed.
“Giri, this is not just inhumane – this is completely unacceptable. If you are doing this for political reasons. I am making it very clear. I will not leave you alone if our father’s respect is diminished,” she warned, expressing her anger at her brother.
Kranthi tweeted, demanding that transparent information be given on his health condition. and that the best possible medical services be provided. Meanwhile, it is known that there were political differences between Mudragada Padmanabham and his daughter Kranthi during the general elections.
While Mudragada Padmanabham campaigned on behalf of the YSR Congress Party, Kranthi campaigned against that party by joining hands with Jana Sena. At that time, this affair created a serious controversy in the Mudragada family, and it seems that it continues to this day.
