Minister Savitha says APCO Gives 40 percent Discount on Handloom Fabric For Dussehra, Diwali

APCO has announced a huge discount in the backdrop of Dussehra and Diwali. It has decided to provide a 40 percent discount on the purchase of handloom fabrics to celebrate the festivals in a Telugu style. Since the coalition government came to power, it has focused on the development of the handloom industry.

On the one hand, while implementing welfare schemes for weavers, on the other hand, it has focused on the sale of handloom fabrics. For this, it is organizing handloom exhibitions at the state and national levels. At the same time, it has provided huge discounts to increase the consumption of handloom fabrics and has put them up for sale in this e-commerce.

It is delivering handloom fabrics directly to the homes of consumers. In this context, APCO has decided to provide a 40 percent discount on the purchase of handloom fabrics keeping in mind the Dussehra and Diwali festivals, said State Handloom and Textiles Minister S. Savita.

There are 92 APCO showrooms at the state and national levels. A huge discount of 40 percent will be provided on handlooms purchased in these showrooms. The government hopes that this huge discount will help households celebrate Dasara and Diwali in a grand manner in the Telugu tradition by wearing handloom clothes.

She issued a statement to this effect on Monday. She said that the 40 percent discount on handlooms will benefit consumers financially. At the same time, the sale of handlooms will also provide financial security to weavers.

She said that the 40 percent discount is being provided with the aim of bringing joy to consumers and families of weavers, keeping in mind the Dasara and Diwali festivals. She said that handlooms are a reflection of Telugu tradition. In the statement, Minister Savita called on the people to wear handloom clothes and stand by the weavers, and to celebrate the festivals of Dussehra and Diwali happily.
