AP Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy has accused former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who does not have opposition party status, of displaying arrogance at the Tirupati hospital when he came to console victims of stampede. He deplored that Jagan went inside the hospital with hundreds of leaders and activists.

The minister questioned whether Jagan knew what the ICU rules were even though he did not listen to the doctors. He said that Jagan had more security than the CM,  leaders, activists went inside pushing doctors and staff away. Expressing anger, he said they even pushed away salines and stands provided for patients.

“There were 18 people when Jagan came. Jagan has a team of evil four. Those four corrupted the TTD. One of them gave covers to 18 people and asked them to criticize the government, TDP and CM. The scenes of giving white covers were recorded on CCTV cameras. What is your culture?”, he asked.

Ramnarayana Reddy said that the stampede incident in Tirupati was very sad and everyone is unhappy towards such a incident at a time CM Chandrababu Naidu has secured funds of more than Rs. 2 lakh crore and started development of the state.

The Minister said that the accident happened when a woman fell ill and was about to open one gate to bring her. When another gate was opened by mistake, devotees rushed at the same time. He said that a DSP-level officer was not there at the time of the accident.

He expressed concern that such a situation has never happened in the past and CM Chandrababu was also serious for following the precedents started by the previous government. He recalled that the CM was moved when the injured said that they would go and have darshan of the Lord.

That is why, he said that CM ordered them to make arrangements for all those who came with them to have darshan of the Lord. He said that everyone was worried about the incident and requested all political parties to come together and give suggestions.

The Minister said that after the coalition government came to power, many reforms were brought in the temples. He lamented that the YSRCP leaders do not know Sanatana Dharma, they have not forgotten the rules of Agama Shastra, Vedas, Nigama and Agama traditions.
