Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra said that a criminal case should be registered against Jagan for making inappropriate comments against the police. He said that all the irregularities in the purchase of liquor under the YSRCP government are being uncovered. He said that a SIT has been formed to solve the mystery.
He alleged that the previous government had taken a loan of Rs. 23,000 crore by mortgaging the income of 10 liquor depots. He said that sales have increased by 40 percent due to the prevention of illegal liquor from border states. He participated in the inauguration ceremony of a liquor godown and district excise department administration building in Anantapur.
Earlier, Kollu Ravindra inaugurated a newly constructed liquor godown and district excise department administration building at a cost of Rs. 8 crore. He said that the best liquor policy is being implemented in AP after touring six states of the country. He said that modern technology is being used in the transportation and sale of liquor.
Kollu Ravindra revealed that every stock vehicle leaving the godown will be tracked and monitored until it reaches the shop. He explained that the government has earned Rs. 1800 crore through the sale of liquor shop applications and transparency has been maintained in the allocation of shops. He said that digital payments are being implemented in liquor shops.
The Minister said that quality liquor and the health of the people are being prioritized. He alleged that many people were being illegally charged in the state under the YSRCP government. Kollu Ravindra said that a murder case has also been filed against him and he is in Rajahmundry jail as part of it.
He lamented Jaganmohan Reddy for saying that if a person dies due to family disputes in Ramagiri mandal, he turned it into a political issue and stripped the police of their clothes. MLAs Paritala Sunitha, Bandaru Sravanisree, Daggubati Prasad and others participated in the program.
