Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao’s Slip of Tongue Triggers Reaction from KTR

Friday, April 18, 2025
Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao mistakenly referred to “Chief Minister KTR” instead of “Chief Minister Revanth Reddy” during a media briefing, before promptly correcting himself. The slip drew attention on social media, with BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao commenting on the incident.
Sharing a video clip of the minister’s statement on ‘X,’ KTR remarked that Jupalli Krishna Rao appeared to have forgotten the Chief Minister’s name. He further speculated that the minister might face removal from the cabinet due to the mistake, stating, “Remember my words.”
During the press conference, Jupalli said, “This government spends ₹6,500 crore per month, Chief Minister KTR… Chief Minister Revanth Reddy,” before adjusting his statement. KTR’s post, retweeting the video, took a dig at the minister, hinting at potential consequences for the slip.
