Strongly lamenting the attitude of the YSRCP by opposing the government’s initiative to provide a job to the family members of Chandrayya, a victims belongs to backward community, Macherla MLA and senior TDP leader Julakanti Brahmananda Reddy has strongly criticized former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
He lamented that the YCP government is at the forefront of abusing the weaker sections of the community. He said that the intolerance towards BCs under the YCP regime has once again come to the fore in the recent legislative council meetings. He pointed out that the government had decided to give a job to the family of Chandrayya, who belonged to the BC community, but he wondered that the YCP members strongly opposed this.
“The YCP blocked this bill just because Chandrayya belongs to the BC community. This clearly shows their hatred towards BCs,” he alleged. He described it as an act that diminishes the self-respect of the BC community. Moreover, he said that double standards of the YSRCP leadership was exposed again with Pinnelli’s example.
Brahmananda Reddy recalled that when Pinnelli Sundararamireddy was killed by Naxalites in the past, the then YSR government immediately gave his family a government job. “The YSRCP, which stood by the family of a murderer, now stands by the family of a victim BC when asked to stand by them — this is evidence of their double standards,” he said.
“The YSRCP has no sincerity towards the BCs. Jealous opposition towards them has now become a perverse political method,” Brahmananda Reddy commented. He advised that people are observing this policy and are imposing appropriate punishment for it through votes.
“People have already shown the YSRCP the right way in the 2024 elections. Now it is the BC community that is heading towards building a political grave for this party,” Julakanti Brahmananda Reddy warned. He advised the YCP to immediately change its stance and act positively in the spirit of a pro-people government.
