Education Minister Nara Lokesh has expressed anger over ganja havoc in Idupulapaya IIIT of YSR district and directed authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the seized ganja.
The parents of the students of Telugu states have complained to Lokesh to protect their children who are exposed to gaja in IIIT in Pulivendulu and to remove traces of ganja from there. The parents complained him in the public darbar saying that their children are suffering due to the influence of students admitted from other states due to this menace.
Parents allege that the entire campus has become a haven for ganja. Nara Lokesh, who responded immediately, ordered the officials to conduct a thorough probe and take strict action against the local politicians who are promoting ganja in the educational institution.
Lokesh assured the parents that necessary steps will be taken to eliminate any trace of ganja in the premises of educational institutions. He revealed that his government has already taken strict measures to eliminate ganja in the state.
The parents of the students said that the students are failing in terms of marks due to the negligence of the staff in the campus. Parents have alleged that their children who have secured more than 90 percent marks in the 10th class are being deliberately failed by the staff of the Inter school in the matter of internal marks.
The parents of Telugu states have urged Lokesh to focus on Idupulapaya IIIT in Pulivendula which is defectively made and save the future of their children. Lokesh assured that the future of the students will be saved.
Recently panic created in this institution after the security personnel seized ganja and cigarette packets from two engineering students. The students hail from Galiveedu of Annamaiya district and Guduru area ofSri Pottisriramulu Nellore district went to Kadapa on 3rd of this month and returned to IIIT on the same night.
When the security personnel checked them, ganja and cigarette packets were seized. Soon after IIIT authorities reprimanded the students and called their parents to the campus for counselling.
