Lokesh Asks To Ensure Transparency In Mega DSC

HRD Minister Nara Lokesh directed officials to ensure that Mega DSC should be conducted without any criticism and litigation, to ensure transparency in the procedure. Conducting a review with officials of the Education department, he asked them to take steps for designing academic calendars in schools.

He said that the issue of age relaxation will be taken into consideration for Mega DSC and also assured that candidates who applied for DSC during the previous government may not be pay fees again and directed to exempt them from fees.  

Referring to requests he has been receiving to give more time between TET and DSC, he takes opinions from candidates and students. Lokesh advised the officials to make it clear to the candidates that no changes have been made in the TET syllabus. He made it clear that unnecessary restrictions should not be imposed on the renewal of permits for private schools.  

He  mentioned that many people have brought to his notice that there are few SGT posts in some districts in Mega DSC. Officials told the minister that some people had approached the court over the promotions of teachers in Prakasam district, due to which the posts were reduced.

The Minister ordered to resolve legal disputes in Anantapur, Srikakulam and Nellore districts and take steps to fill up the posts. Lokesh directed the officials to study the demands of neighborhood service teaching staff in AP tribal welfare residential schools and submit a report on the measures to be taken to avoid harm to them. 

He said that skill sensus are being conducted to identify the skills of the youth. He directed to study the skill development programs being implemented in various states and prepare further plans with better procedures. Lokesh advised the officials to look into the issue of training for courses that are in demand abroad.
