In New Delhi, YS Sharmila, President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), raised concerns on Saturday regarding the non-implementation of the Election Commission’s directive to disburse pensions through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). She accused the YSRCP government of intentionally delaying pension distribution and questioned the absence of state employees for the task. Speaking to the media, Sharmila emphasized the urgency of implementing DBT for immediate pension disbursement, citing her discussions with the Chief Secretary. She criticized the proposed delay in pension distribution until the 3rd, demanding immediate action and threatening widespread agitation under the Congress leadership if DBT is not promptly adopted.
