Friday, November 22, 2024

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized Chandrababu’s political maneuvers, likening them to the ever-changing nature of a chameleon. Speaking at the Kurnool election campaign bheri, CM Jagan addressed the issue of reservation for minorities. He pointed out Chandrababu’s alliance with the BJP, which seeks to abolish Muslim reservation while hypocritically posing as a friend to minority communities.

CM Jagan emphasized his commitment to upholding minority reservations, asserting that it was his promise to ensure 100-64 per cent reservation for minorities. He highlighted that such reservations were not based on religion alone but on the principle of backwardness, benefiting communities like Patan, Sayyed, and Moghuls.

Questioning Chandrababu’s sincerity, CM Jagan challenged him to advocate for minority reservations in the presence of Prime Minister Modi. He contrasted Chandrababu’s opportunistic politics with his own government’s inclusive approach, focused on uplifting the impoverished regardless of caste, religion, or political affiliation.

CM Jagan criticized the notion of treating minorities differently and exploiting their vulnerability for political gain. He expressed solidarity with the sentiments of minorities, pledging support for their rights in issues such as NRC and CAA. CM Jagan reiterated his commitment to ensuring at least six hundred Muslim reservations, advocating for fairness and justice in representation.
