Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has accused the BJP of conspiring to abolish reservations if it secures 400 Lok Sabha seats. Addressing the media on Saturday evening, he pledged that if his party assumes power at the Center, he would conduct a census of the BC population to ensure proper reservation allocation. Additionally, he vowed to provide reservations for SCs and STs based on accurate population data.
Reddy highlighted the approaching centenary of the RSS in 2025, suggesting a plan to make India reservation-free during this period. He criticized the BJP for pursuing the RSS’s agenda of transforming India into a Hindu rashtra, alleging that Modi and Amit Shah were targeting marginalized sections of society through what he termed “surgical strikes.”
Regarding the BJP’s pursuit of 400 seats, Reddy accused them of advancing a Manuvadi ideology and attempting to eliminate reservations to establish a Hindu rashtra. He emphasized the importance of conducting a census for increasing BC reservations, expressing the Congress’s readiness for such measures while criticizing the BJP’s alleged opportunism.
