The senior leader of Congress in the two Telugu States, KVP Ramachandrayya for the first time reacted openly to his best friend’s daughter entering into his own party. The ex-MP expressed his wishes for Sharmila’s entry into the Congress with open hands.
The president of YSRTP, Shamila has almost confirmed her association with the Congress party for the upcoming elections of Telangana. Meanwhile the ex-Member of Rajya Sabha and close associate of her father late YSR, KVP Ramachandrayya made his reaction in the public domain. He stated that the party of Congress is best for any politician to grow and he was more than happy to welcome Sharmila into the party and wished his best for her growth. KVP claimed that even though the merger of YSRTP with Congress wasn’t announced officially, the internal things within his party and sources inside told him that everything for the lady leader’s entry was cleared. One has to wait and see what post-Sharmila would be offered for the merger. Sources state that KVP also lobbied hard for Sharmila’s entry with his connections due to his close association with the YSR family.
Now that KVP has declared, it is only a few days to weeks for the official announcement from YSRTP and Congress. Political experts opine that she might be given an MP seat most probably from Karnataka to Rajya Sabha and a dignified post within the TPCC.
