During his visit to Kurnool, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced that the long-term issues in Kurnool would be resolved very shortly. While at the event, Modi discussed the ambitious ‘Drones Hub’ project of the state government, and described it as momentous for job creation and industrial development of Kurnool. Modi said that the project will create job opportunities for numerous citizens of Kurnool while also making Kurnool a global drone manufacturing hub.
The Prime Minister made remarks about the significance of Kurnool and Rayalaseema region in the overall development of Andhra Pradesh. The Prime Minister said that drones had already played a major role in Operation Sindoor, and that Kurnool will play a significant role in technological transformation of the country, and with local talent be a considerable contributor.
Reminding Andhra Pradesh of its glorious past, Modi pointed out that the state had once been at the forefront of national leadership. But he blamed the earlier Congress governments in the state for their faulty governance, which, he claimed, had held the state back. Appreciating the visionary vision of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the Prime Minister stated that Andhra Pradesh is once again beginning to regain its lost glory and is going to be a driving force behind India’s growth story. He also added that the soon-to-rise Google AI Hub in Visakhapatnam would not just cater to the state but also to the entire country and international tech community.
Highlighting the abundant talent and potential of Andhra Pradesh’s youth, Modi said the “double-engine government” — led by both the Centre and the State — is working hand in hand to fully harness these strengths. He revealed that in just 16 months, several key development programs had been launched. Among them is the Supersonic Center in Nimmaluru, which will focus on manufacturing advanced defense equipment vital for the nation’s security. He said these initiatives would open new doors of employment and innovation across every district in Rayalaseema.
