The Janwada Farmhouse has found itself at the center of controversy once again, making headlines for hosting a party. This event has garnered significant attention as the farmhouse is owned by Raj Pakala, the brother-in-law of KTR, the former minister and executive president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
Authorities recently intervened to shut down the party, resulting in multiple arrests, including that of Raj Pakala himself. Concerns over drug use among attendees escalated, particularly involving a participant named Vijay Maddiruri, prompting law enforcement to send him and another attendee for medical evaluations.
Acting on credible information, the Narsingi police launched a joint operation on Saturday night, collaborating with the Special Operations Team, Excise officials, and sniffer dog units. This coordinated effort led to the arrest of 35 individuals, comprising 21 men and 14 women, who were attending the party.
During the operation at the farmhouse, police seized a large quantity of liquor bottles. There are suspicions that Vijay Maddiruri had ingested cocaine, which resulted in positive drug test results. He has since been taken to the hospital for further medical assessment, and a case has been filed against him under Section 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
The Excise Task Force has also initiated legal proceedings against Raj Pakala for allegedly selling alcohol at the rave without the necessary permits or excise licenses. He is facing charges under Sections 34A, 34(1), and 9 for the illegal sale of alcohol and the use of narcotics.
This isn’t the first time the Janwada Farmhouse has attracted controversy. Past reports have suggested that it was built within a buffer zone, raising concerns about possible demolition by the authorities. At that time, KTR faced allegations regarding ownership of the farmhouse, which he strongly denied, asserting that no farmhouses were registered under his name. The recent confirmation that the farmhouse belongs to his brother-in-law has reignited discussions around this contentious property.
