KTR Visits Delhi: Stands with Lagacherla Victims, Turns Heat on CM Revanth

Monday, November 18, 2024

The political scene in Telangana has reached a boiling point with the controversy surrounding the Lagacherla incident. BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has taken the battle to Delhi, filing multiple complaints with national commissions, while BJP leaders have shown solidarity with those arrested in the case. Both BRS and BJP are sharpening their political rhetoric, with Congress becoming a central target. Meanwhile, rumors of KTR’s possible arrest are adding fuel to the fire, as the BRS ramps up pressure on Telangana Congress Chief Revanth Reddy.

BRS and BJP Lock Horns Over Allegations

Both BRS and BJP have accused the state government of targeting innocent individuals in the Lagacherla case. KTR, along with senior party leaders, met with representatives from the National Human Rights Commission, SC/ST Commission, and Women’s Rights Commission to highlight the alleged injustice. KTR has also intensified his attacks on Revanth Reddy and Congress, raising allegations of corruption related to the Amrit Tenders in his recent complaint to the central government.

BJP’s Countermove and Government Actions

On the other side, BJP leaders visited the villagers detained in Sangareddy Jail, criticizing the state government for mishandling the situation. They have accused authorities of overlooking the plight of victims and enabling police to mistreat tribal women while making unjustified arrests.

The Telangana government, however, has acted against those allegedly involved in attacking officials. Notably, the remand report of former MLA Narendra Reddy has brought KTR’s name into the spotlight, sparking widespread speculation about his potential arrest.

Political Showdown in Delhi

As these developments unfold, KTR’s focus appears to be on countering Congress leader Revanth Reddy. His presence in Delhi is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the BRS narrative at the national level.

With the Lagacherla incident becoming a flashpoint, political tensions are expected to escalate further, potentially reshaping the landscape of Telangana’s politics in the coming days.
