BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has countered Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s remarks regarding the demolition of buildings within the FTL (Flood Transfer Level) and buffer zone limits. Ponguleti had suggested that if a building is found to be illegal within the FTL limits, it should be demolished, and only after removing leaders’ buildings should action be taken against ordinary citizens’ homes.
KTR clarified that the Minister’s residence is not in the buffer zone and that there is no need for him to be concerned. He stated that satellite maps are available for buildings in both the FTL and buffer zones, and the Minister should not worry about this issue. He pointed out that satellite images can reveal how lakes have been filled in and constructed over.
KTR suggested that the Minister should consult with Hyderabad Commissioner Ranganath and focus on demolishing structures in the FTL and buffer zones first. He also emphasized that buildings belonging to Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Vivek, KVP Ramachandra Rao, Madhuyashki, and Gutta Sukhendher Reddy should be among those targeted for demolition.
