Friday, November 22, 2024

On Monday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao criticized the Congress government in Telangana, attributing the state’s drought to its inefficiency. He condemned the government’s handling of the agricultural crisis and demanded immediate relief for distressed farmers. Dismissing claims of natural causes for the drought-like conditions, KTR asserted they were a consequence of the Congress government’s actions, not nature. During his visit to Nalgonda district and interactions with farmers, KTR emphasized that the agricultural crisis stemmed from the mismanagement of the current Congress administration. He criticized the government’s lack of focus on farmer welfare amid political engagements and questioned the sincerity of the state chief minister and colleagues for failing to visit farmers and provide assurance. KTR lamented the high number of farmer suicides due to the government’s mishandling of agricultural issues and challenged ministers denying power cuts to visit farmers and assert the same in their presence. He accused the Congress government of attempting to tarnish KCR’s leadership by labeling the Kaleshwaram project as a failure and highlighted negligence in repairing the Medigadda project, resulting in extensive crop damage.
