KTR Criticizes Congress Over Star Campaigner List, Launches Panel on Government Hospital Issues

Thursday, December 4, 2025
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) sharply criticized the Congress party over the inclusion of BRS-winning Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender in its list of star campaigners for the Jubilee Hills by-election. Speaking to the media after visiting Basti Hospital in Khairatabad on Tuesday, KTR questioned the ethics of the Congress party, ridiculing the All India Congress Committee (AICC) as standing for “All India Corruption Committee” rather than “All India Congress Committee.”
KTR alleged that the Congress had lured ten BRS MLAs into its campaign, branding the move as corrupt. He also criticized defecting MLAs for projecting contradictory positions in the Assembly and in public, leaving constituents uncertain of their true political allegiance, and challenged them to resign and contest by-elections if they had the courage.
In addition, KTR announced the formation of a special committee to review the state’s government hospitals. Led by former Deputy Chief Minister Tatikonda Rajayya, with MLA Dr. Kalvakuntla Sanjay and former MLA Dr. Methuku Anand as members, the panel will inspect hospitals across Telangana, study existing issues, and submit a report highlighting governmental lapses.
He also demanded immediate release of pending salaries for Basti Hospital and Anganwadi staff, stressing that timely payments and addressing healthcare infrastructure deficiencies are essential for public welfare and government accountability.
