Monday, January 6, 2025
BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) attributed the party’s loss in the recent assembly elections to overconfidence and minor errors. Speaking at a BRS workers’ meeting in Siricilla, KTR asserted that the days are approaching when K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will govern the nation. He further criticized the Congress party, stating that even after a year in power, Congress leaders continue to blame KCR instead of focusing on effective governance.
KTR accused the Congress leadership of failing to fulfill their promises and claimed that the state’s financial crisis was a result of mismanagement by Congress leaders. He mocked the Congress’ claims regarding the damage to the Medigadda Barrage, stating that the true damage lay in Revanth Reddy’s mindset.
KTR also addressed the issue of Congress’ unfulfilled promises, particularly regarding the ₹2 lakh loan waiver for farmers, a key campaign promise. He recalled that he had publicly stated in the Assembly that he would retire from politics if the loan waiver was fully implemented, but it remains unfulfilled.
He criticized Congress for its inability to implement key schemes such as Kalyanalakshmi and Rythu Bandhu, highlighting the failure to deliver on promises made to farmers and the general public. KTR also expressed frustration with the government’s actions regarding the Rythu Bharosa scheme, where farmers have reportedly faced cuts in benefits, especially those employed in government and IT sectors.
