KTR, working president of BRS, expressed strong dissatisfaction regarding the demolition of significant structures in Survey Number 1 of Peerzadiguda Municipal Corporation limits on Monday morning. He promptly addressed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by letter on the matter.
In his communication, he questioned the rationale behind the demolitions, suggesting that a comprehensive investigation be conducted into the actions taken by former Medchal MLA Sudheer Reddy. KTR alleged that the houses demolished were constructed on plots sold by Congress leaders and regularized during the Congress government’s tenure.
“Will BRS leaders advocating for public welfare be subjected to police detention?” he queried, highlighting public outcry against the demolitions in Medchal Assembly constituency. He warned of potential public unrest unless Chief Minister Revanth Reddy intervenes.
“The plots were originally sold by Congress leaders Ramdas Goud, Jagadeeswar Reddy, and Congress corporator Amar Singh, and were regularized in 2008 under Chief Minister Rajasekhar Reddy,” KTR continued. He emphasized that many residents had taken bank loans and obtained municipal permissions to build their homes, only to face demolition under Sudheer Reddy’s directives.
KTR underscored BRS’s commitment to resolving issues faced by plot owners in Saipriya and Satyanarayanapuram colonies under Peerzadiguda Municipal Corporation, asserting that their inclusion under 118 GO had benefited owners. He criticized the current Congress government for what he described as inefficient and unjust actions against innocent homeowners.
“We will ensure justice for flat owners once BRS regains power,” KTR promised.
