BRS Working President KT Rama Rao has challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to resign from here and contest the by-election if he has the guts.  He said that no one should campaign and that if Patnam Narender Reddy’s majority drops by 50,000 votes, he will take political sannyas.

Participating in the farmers’ protest organized by the party in Kosgi, Narayanpet district on Monday, he said that the Kurukshetra war has been going on in Kodangal since last against the Duryodhana’s regime.

He accused people of working for the elephant brothers and sisters for 14 months while voting for them to win. Revanth Reddy said that Kodangal lands are lands where even the trunks do not lay eggs, but KTR said that if he goes to the beginning of the Lagacharla area on the way, he will also see green paddy crops there.

He criticized Revanth for lying even as the Chief Minister. He said that the other day, CM Revanth Reddy held a meeting in Kosgi and said that farmers would get money by the pound, but no one came. He alleged that they are trying to grab the lands of Lagacharla village for son-in-law’s Pharma company.

Referring that farmers of Kodangal were kept in jail for seeking to protect their farm lands, the former minister assured that he will be ready to be in jail for them even if it is a year. He recalled that Jyoti, who was 9 months pregnant, came to Delhi with them and all the farmers expressed their pain before the National Human Rights Commission.

KTR said that when he was coming, Jyoti, who was pregnant at that time, gave birth to a child under a tent, and when he was asked to name his child, he named it ‘Bhoomi’ after their family name. He said that he felt very happy naming the child in the land struggle.

He said that when he came here, Nai Brahmin and Rajaka brothers came and begged him. He said that when KCR was there, they used to give them free electricity, but now they are giving them bills again.
