Hyderabad: TRS Working President and Sircilla MLA K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has publicly challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad. KTR retweeted a post from Rahul Gandhi dated November 27, 2023, and raised pressing questions about the promises made to Telangana’s youth.
“Rahul Gandhi ji, you have come to Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad once again. Can you meet the youth and explain to them how you will keep the promises you have made?” asked KTR.
KTR highlighted the dissatisfaction among the youth of Telangana, who believed in Rahul Gandhi’s promises of providing 2 lakh government jobs within a year and voted for the Congress party. “Now, even after eight months, not a single job has been given. Moreover, yesterday a ‘jobless calendar’ was released, and the youth are worried about this,” he said.
KTR emphasized the need for Rahul Gandhi to address these concerns directly, stating, “You have to tell me how you will fulfill the promises made during elections.” He referenced Rahul Gandhi’s previous commitments to provide 2 lakh jobs annually, reform the Telangana Public Service Commission (TPSC) to align with the standards of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), and offer ₹5 lakh assistance under the Yuva Vikasam scheme.
