Central Minister Kishan Reddy has issued an open letter to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, calling for cooperation on several key development initiatives. In his letter, Kishan Reddy requested the state government’s assistance with the expansion of roads leading to the Secunderabad Railway Station and the Cherlapalli Railway Terminals.
Kishan Reddy highlighted the central government’s ongoing efforts over the past decade to enhance infrastructure, particularly in the rail sector. He noted that the state’s railway development is progressing rapidly, with new lines, doubling, tripling, and quadrupling of existing tracks, as well as the electrification of lines and the development of more than 40 stations.
He specifically mentioned the ongoing construction of a ₹415 crore railway terminal at Cherlapalli, which is expected to become a central hub for both passenger and freight services. Additionally, Kishan Reddy revealed that the Secunderabad Railway Station is undergoing a ₹715 crore modernization project to elevate it to international airport standards, with completion anticipated by next year.
Kishan Reddy also addressed issues related to road congestion near the Rethifile and Alpha Hotel areas and urged the Chief Minister to take proactive measures to resolve these challenges.
