The election fever has gripped the state of Telangana and the CM KCR has been working relentlessly to score it big in both State and the Center in order to make his mark and to put BRS at the National level. In this regard, he already started the surveys of his own sitting MLAs and confirmed tickets to those sure-shot winning horses.
KCR is facing tough competition from the opposition parties of T-BJP and T-Congress this time and as a result, he is fielding powerful MLAs who can withstand such competition and pull the BRS to the finishing line. One of the many rules he has taken is the ‘NO family rule’ in giving tickets. In other words, the BRS Chief is not in the mood to give a second ticket to the Kin of senior MLAs and MPs who want to bring the family members in their respective constituencies. Leaders like M Hanmantha Rao, Minister Talasani Srinivas, Deputy Speaker Padma Rao, Kadiyam Srihari, Srinivasa Goud, etc have already submitted applications for their sons, daughters, and in-laws but the Chief is said to be a firm NO. Forget the second ticket to the same family, KCR is not in the mood to give a chance to many trailing senior MLAs as they got bad results in surveys.
On the flip side, angered leaders of the BRS indirectly point out at the CM KCR himself why he has brought his son KTR, daughter Kavitha and his nephew Harish Rao into politics and asked him to start implementing the rule from his own house in order to extend it to his leaders.
