BRS chief and Telangana’s first Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed confidence that power will return to BRS in the coming days. He made it clear that he will come to power in the state as a single party.
Former MLA Korukanti Chander, who organized a padayatra from Godavari River to Kondapochamma Sagar, under the name ‘Godavari Kanniti Gosa’, reached KCR’s agricultural farm in Erravalli on Saturday afternoon. KCR met with the Korukanti Chander padayatra team.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR recalled that flies come only near jaggery and likewise some are ready to loot and grab Telangana. He said during the BRS regime there have been no problems in Telangana for the last 10 years. He asserted that only BRS is capable of fighting for the cause of Telangana always.
KCR asked party leaders and workers to always fight to protect the rights and interests of the Telangana people. Moreover, he said that everyone should fight like KCR as he may not live always.
KCR recalled that he did not back down from protecting the interests of Telangana, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had put a knife to his neck. He accused Indira Gandhi of cheating Telangana at that time. KCR explained the circumstances of that time that Telangana was forcibly merged with Andhra.
He alleged that the Congress came to power by making huge promises, but now unable to fulfil even a single promise. He said that the credit goes to BRS for implementing Rythu Bandhu and Kalyana Lakshmi, though they were not included in the party’s manifesto. KCR suggested that the failures of the Congress government should be exposed.
KCR also made interesting comments on AP politics. KCR opined that Chandrababu Naidu would not have won in last year’s elections, if there was no alliance in AP. He said that Chandrababu is the CM of AP today because of the alliance.
On the other hand, KCR also mentioned the Krishna water dispute between Telangana and AP. He said that if the water that is due to them is being taken away and the real fighter is the one who stands and fights. But, he deplored that the present Telangana government is hesitating for a fight to protect interests of the state.
