KCR and KTR react on embarrassing Exit Polls surveys

Wednesday, December 18, 2024

By this time on Tuesday, there will be a clear picture about the electoral performance of various parties across the country in the prestigious 2024 Loksabha elections. In the meantime, the exit polls that were announced on Saturday evening have provided some pointers on how the results are likely to be in these elections. While majority of the reliable surveys indicated a landslide mandate for BJP and its allies, they also sounded warning bells to some of the regional parties like BRS ( Bharatiya Rastra Samithi) in Telangana.

Almost all exit polls predicted that the BJP is likely to spring a huge surprise by surpassing the double digit out in these elections. On the other side, the surveys further speculated that KCR led BRS is likely to face an ignominious defeat for the first time in the party’s electoral history. Many exit polls predicted that BRS may not open its account as the fight was primarily between the BJP and the INC. Going by the data from these exit polls, BRS is likely to be confined to a maximum of one seat or may even secure none out of the 17 seats.

Reacting on these embarrassing exit polls , BRS supremo KCR brushed aside all these reports and expressed confidence in winning good number of seats. He labelled exit polls as a game of gambling where Crores of money is exchanged. He said the Bus Yatra undertaken during the election campaign received a phenomenal response from the public. KCR said his party would receive considerable voting percentage and the outcome of these polls won’t impact the prospects of BRS.

On the other side, former IT minister and KCR’s son KTR also reacted immediately on exit poll predictions. He said his party will wait for the exact poll results to talk about the performance of BRS.

After the humiliating defeat in the 2023 assembly elections, the BRS party has been struggling to keep its flock together as many leaders defected to the BJP and the INC before the parliament elections. The party is struggling to revive the lost glory and will need to reassess its strategies after the Loksabha results are declared.
