Kamareddy: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Tuesday issued a strong warning against those allegedly threatening party workers, stating that their names would be recorded in a ‘Pink Book’ and action would be taken without hesitation. She was speaking at a preparatory meeting for the party’s silver jubilee celebrations held in Banswada, Kamareddy district.
Referring to recent reports of intimidation, Kavitha said she had received information that some individuals were calling BRS activists and attempting to scare them. “We will make a note of everyone involved. They will not be spared. Our party workers should not worry and must remain confident,” she said.
Taking a dig at the opposition, Kavitha expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of certain Congress leaders. Referring to her father and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, she said, “KCR sir may be a good person, but I am a bit of a rowdy type. I will not leave anyone who troubles our cadre.”
She further stated that she would not forgive those who harass workers or make them run around police stations, adding, “It doesn’t matter whether they are political leaders or officials — no one will be exempt.”
Kavitha asserted that the BRS, during its time in power, focused solely on development and welfare and never resorted to misuse of power. She condemned efforts to intimidate BRS workers following defections by some leaders to other parties.
“No one here is afraid of threats. Even if your ancestors come down from the heavens, we won’t be scared,” she remarked, aiming to instill confidence among party cadres.
