The political cyclone that started with the leak of BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s letter to BRS chief and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be getting more serious. Kavitha is reportedly thinking of forming a new party by quitting her father’s party. She has also made the same point clear to the envoys sent by KCR.
Moreover, Jagruti leaders are giving signals that an announcement on the formation of the new party is likely to be made by her on June 2, the Telangana formation day. Both Congress and BJP leaders are also saying that Kavitha will form her new party and may not be able to pacify her issues with her father KCR.
There have been reports for some time that MLC Kavitha is unhappy that she is not getting priority in the BRS party. Recently, whenever she participates in any meeting or conference, she has been making comments that defame the then BRS government.
Recently, after the BRS Warangal meeting, she wrote a letter directly to KCR about the party’s behavior. With the leak of this letter, Telangana politics has been shaken. SInce then, the speculation that Kavitha will leave BRS and form a new party is going on in full swing.
Her followers say that she is not being given due priority in BRS and that she no longer wants to be in that party. While the campaign is going on that Kavitha will form a new party, there is currently a discussion that Kavitha has already indicated to her father that it will be difficult for her to continue in BRS unless she is given a prominent position within the party.
It is said that Kavitha is now focusing her Jagriti network and preparing for a state-wide padayatra soon after announcing formation of a new party. Kavitha has already formed several new committees to expand awareness.
She is holding meetings with Jagriti leaders and announcing the committees. On Tuesday, Kavitha announced the Singareni Jagriti Committee. Nine conveners have been appointed. Her followers say that Kalvakuntla Kavitha wants to go to the people with the tagline of Bahujan Social Justice.
