BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has exposed that Revanth Reddy’s government is conspiring to sell off the 1.75 lakh acres of land made available in TGIIC by former Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao and a secret GO was given to convert TGIIC into a public limited company.
She alleged that the GO was brought as part of the plan to mortgage all the lands on the stock exchange. She questioned why the change in the status of the company was hidden from the public. She asked why there was a need to pledge Telangana lands on the stock exchange?
Kavitha deplored over the future of the lands deposited in Telangana if there is a loss in the stock exchange. She lamented that it is atrocious that CM Revanth Reddy has not given the slightest thought to the future of the people of Telangana. Kavitha demanded that the decision to convert TGIIC into a public limited company be reversed.
On the other hand, she stated that Kancha Gachibowli lands were sold off and a loan of Rs 10,000 crore was taken. Kavitha demanded the release of a white paper on the current government’s debts and expenditure. During the last 16 months of Congress rule, she said that CM Revanth Reddy incurred debts of more than Rs 1.8 lakh crore.
But, she wondered that not a single scheme was fully implemented with the debts incurred. No development was spent. He criticized that he did not give gold, did not implement the Mahalaxmi scheme, did not do anything. Stating that this government has repaid only Rs 80,000 crore for the debts incurred in the past, she asked where the remaining one lakh crore went?
Kavitha accused that Rs 1 lakh crore was paid to big contractors, and described it as a 20 percent commission government. She alleged that 20 percent commission was taken directly after making payments to contractors. She alleged that about Rs 20,000 crore went to Revanth Reddy’s own treasury. If these figures are wrong, she challenged the government to release a white paper.
