Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha made strong allegations against senior leaders close to former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), claiming their actions have tarnished his reputation. Speaking at a media briefing in Hyderabad, she questioned the role of Harish Rao, former Irrigation Minister for five years, in contributing to the negative image of KCR. She also blamed former MP Santosh for similar reasons.
Addressing controversies surrounding the Kaleshwaram Project, Kavitha accused certain leaders of exaggerating minor issues to suggest that the entire project had failed. “While KCR worked for the people, others pursued personal gain. Harish Rao and Santosh conspired against me repeatedly, yet I stayed silent. Today, as KCR’s daughter, I feel immense pain. Behind them is Revanth Reddy, who orchestrated secret agreements. Even after my letter leaked, I did not reveal any names. The CBI investigation into the Kaleshwaram Project appears pre-planned by Revanth Reddy,” she said.
Kavitha defended KCR, calling him “like the Himalayas” and criticized the allegations of corruption. She added, “Even my father faced financial challenges for my marriage. How can I remain unaffected when a CBI probe targets a leader like KCR? Revanth Reddy is exploiting Telangana BC children for Bihar. Telangana Jagruthi will expose these actions, and KCR will emerge unscathed, regardless of which inquiry is conducted.”
