Hours before former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s scheduled visit to Tirumala former chairman of TTD Trust Board and senior YCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy alleged a `political conspiracy’ behind insisting on a declaration from Jaganmohan Reddy in Tirumala.
Asserting that no one has a right to seek a declaration from the former chief minister, he warned that if Jagan is not allowed in Tirumala the present state government will collapse. Stating that Sanatana Dharma says that anyone can visit Lord, he said that TTD has no right to prevent Jagan from having darshan, if he does not give a declaration.
Recalling that Jaganmohan Reddy has presented silk cloths to the Lord for the last five years, he wondered how can he be prevented now? However, Swamijis became angry towards Karunakar Reddy’s statement and warned that they will not allow the former chief minister to go to Tirumala without signing a declaration. They said that they will stop Jagan at Alipiri itself.
Sadhu Parishad President Srinivasananda Saraswati Swamiji lamented that during the last five years the sanctity of Tirumala was not preserved by Jagan’s government. He made it clear that anyone who wants to visit Tirumala should follow prevailing traditions.
He said that Hindu traditions always suggest performing puja rituals along with the wife. But, he asked whether Jagan had ever brought his wife for darshan of Srivaru? He lamented that Jagan has never respected the sentiments and beliefs of Hindus.
Karunakar Reddy said that the alliance government is shaking when Jagan visits Tirumala and police terrorize YCP workers. This shows how much Chandrababu Naidu is afraid of the very presence of Jaganmohan Reddy, he said.
He warned that the more the government tried to restrict movements of the opposition activists, the resistance would be severe. He wonders why Chandrababu Naidu is silent over the uproar over seeking declaration from the former chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy to visit Tirumala?
