Anantapur Urban TDP MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad is in trouble. An audio clip of him verbally abusing popular hero Jr.NTR is going viral on social media. The MLA has given a warning in the audio clip to stop the screening of War-2 starring Jr.NTR. Fans of Jr.NTR who heard this audio clip were furious.
On Sunday morning, fans of Jr.NTR surrounded the office of Anantapur Urban TDP MLA Daggubati Prasad. The fans of Jr.NTR who sat in front of the Urban TDP office raised slogans against the MLA. The fans who came to the office in Srinagar Colony in the city demanded that Daggubati come out and apologize publicly.
They questioned Urban MLA Daggubati Prasad about the audio call recording in which he spoke to a fan of Junior NTR, insulting Junior NTR. The police stopped the fans as the situation escalated. An argument broke out between the two. When the office staff replied that Daggubati was not there, Junior NTR fans gathered in front of the office.
However, the MLA apologized for this. He said that the audio record was not his. He alleged that this was the work of those who did not like him as part of local politics. He said that he has had a lot of admiration for the Nara and Nandamuri families since childhood. He clarified that if NTR fans have been hurt, he apologizes.
‘Those audio calls are not mine.. everything is bogus,’ MLA Daggubati Prasad explained. ‘I have been a fan of the Nandamuri family since the beginning. I apologize to the fans of Jr. NTR. Even though I was not involved, my name was mentioned.. So I apologize. I have complained to the SP about the audio calls.’ MLA Dagguppati Prasad said.
He released his explanation regarding this controversy in the form of a video through his ex-handle. However, the fans (Jr.NTR) did not stop the agitation. They lamented that there is no TDP without Nandamuri fans. Stating that they did not need an apology to be said between four walls, they warned that they would stop the agitation only if the MLA apologized publicly in front of everyone.
