NTT Data, a world-renowned leader in digital transformation and IT services, and Neisa Networks, an artificial intelligence (AI) first cloud platform company, have jointly come forward to set up an AI data center cluster in Hyderabad. Together with the Telangana government, they have signed a tripartite agreement (MoU) to set up this cluster with an investment of approximately Rs. 10,500 crore.
The investment agreement was signed at a high-level meeting held in Tokyo. In the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Ken Katsuyama, Board Member, Neisa Networks, Director Tadaoki Nishimura, NTT Global Data Centers India Managing Director Alok Bajpai, Neisa CEO, and NTT Global Data Chairman Sharad Sanghi participated in this agreement.
This facility to be built in Hyderabad is a 400 MW data center cluster. The project will provide the most powerful AI supercomputing infrastructure in the country with 25,000 GPUs. This project is taking shape in line with the goal of making Telangana the Artificial Intelligence Capital of the country.
NTT Data and NASA will jointly develop AI-first solutions and this cluster will attract everyone’s attention as a center of new innovations. This cluster will be built with a mix of grid and renewable energy up to 500 MW. State-of-the-art cooling technologies such as liquid immersion will be adopted.
This project will be developed with the highest ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards. This campus will nurture AI talent in partnership with educational institutions in Telangana. It will contribute to the state’s Digital Public Infrastructure Mission.
On the other hand, TTDI (Transmission Distribution Systems India), a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, has come forward to work with the Telangana government. It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government to promote investments and innovations in the power supply and distribution sector.
As per the agreement, TTDI will set up a surge arrester manufacturing factory in Rudraram near Hyderabad. Along with this, it will upgrade the existing factories there to expand its manufacturing capacity of power transformers, distribution transformers and gas insulated switchgear (GIS). An investment of Rs. 562 crore will be made for this project.
This new factory, which uses state-of-the-art technology, will meet the growing demand in the power sector and create employment opportunities. TTDI, which already operates two factories successfully in Rudraram, will set up a third factory with this new investment. It will expand the capacity of the existing factories.
