‘Power’ gives a freehand to politicians to attack and abuse common people who oppose their wrongdoings. There were many instances in the last five years when some of the YSR Congress party MLAs and MPs appeared in the headlines for their abusive behaviour against the public. The Telugu Desam Party and Janasena supporters and leaders used to condemn such rude behaviour.
But, the same menace is still prevalent even after the formation of new government led by Chandrababu Naidu. In the last two months, a few incidents in which the TDP MLAs were found crossing the line during their interaction with the public. Several complaints have already come to the notice of high command over their irregularities.
Now, Janasena MLA from Kakinada Pantham Nanaji is caught in the midst of a controversy for his foul language and disparaging attitude. A viral video in which Nanaji and his henchmen were found lashing out at a Vice Chairman of Rangaraya Medical College over denying permission to play volleyball.
Going into the matter, some of the supporters of Nanaji wanted to play volleyball inside the college premises and approached the authorities to grant permission. MLA intervened and sent a message to the college adminstration to allow them to play. They were informed that permission would be accorded only after getting approval from the higher ups.
This enraged Nanaji and his supporters. They went to the RMC volley ground and involved in an altercation with the staff. Nanaji is found abusing the vice chairman who happens to be from a dalit community.
The video is currently going viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage on MLAs filty language on the college staff. Many are now demanding a strict disciplinary action from the party and also from the police.
