BRS National Chief KCR has started the expansion works of his party and is in talks with a few senior leaders and bureaucrats from different regions. When it comes to the state of AP, KCR is rumored to be roping in an ex-leader Thota Chandrasekhar of Janasena to lead the party.
Sources close to the Pragathi Bhavan state that KCR will soon organize a huge public event in Andhra Pradesh and launch BRS officially. For this, he is in talks with Thota Chandrasekhar as he wants to appoint the latter as the Political Affairs Committee Chairman of BRS as he believes an ex-bureaucrat will lead the party better. If the talks succeed, we can see Thota as the PAC Chairman of BRS in Andhra Pradesh along with a few other ex-Civil servants in the party.
Thota Chandrasekhar worked in Janasena as the chief Pawan Kalyan believed in him and made him General Secretary of the party in 2019. He contested as an MLA in Guntur and lost but the Janasena flag garnered him 27,000 plus votes. Later he was not satisfied with Janasena and maintained a distance from Pawan Kalyan by indirectly pointing at the working style of the party.
