When Jagan was arrested in 2012, she participated in the election campaign only in his home constituency during the 2019 elections. But Bharathi has been becoming active in the last few days. It is believed that if Jagan Mohan Reddy is arrested in the liquor case that is creating political turmoil, she is preparing to sort out the party’s affairs.
Moreover, after losing power, Jagan Mohan Reddy has not even attended the assembly and has been confined to Tadepalli Palace or Bangalore Palace. District-wise tours are being postponed from time to time. Since he has told everyone to ‘move, hold dharnas’ and has not participated himself, the public response is minimal.

She is talking directly to very prominent party leaders and also sometimes talking on the phone. But not from her phone, from the phone of a retired mid-level official who is a trusted servant of Jagan’s family and is involved in a liquor case.
When she has to contact mid-level leaders in the same party, she calls a leader to her and says, “Madam is here. I told you to tell me this.” She also speaks if necessary. If it is a very low-level person, the district leaders of that party go and talk to them on her behalf.B
