Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy questioning his sister YS Sharmila wearing `yellow saree’ while launching a poll campaign is not Boomerang by netizens and attracting severe criticism of mentioning his sister’s saree at a public meeting.
While filing his nomination from Pulivendala accusing his sisters of colluding with TDP leadership against him, Jagan mentioned that Sharmila started her poll campaigning wearing yellow saree. Moreover, pointing out her sari, he questioned her in anger ‘you are YSR descendants or Chandrababu Naidu?’.
Netizens are surprised that how can a brother comment his own sister about her saree in a massive attended public meeting, that too in a political meeting?
Sharmila took it very seriously and expressed her anger and concern and said that it seems her brother forgot our own culture and place of a sister in a house. She wondered if Chandrababu has any patent on yellow color?
She recalled that till very recently even Jagan’s own Television Channel Sakshi was also in yellow color. She asked if any brother will refer to the color of his sister’s saree in the presence of thousands of people in a public meeting?
She said that her father YSR used to say yellow is an auspicious one. Meanwhile, some netizens went to the extent of questioning Jagan. Can he comment in the same way about his wife Bharati dress? Even some kept a photo of Bharat seen in yellow dress. They questioned can Jagan blame his wife also being influenced by Chandrababu Naidu?
It seems Jagan nowadays is worried about the shades of Chandrababu Naidu realising the potential political challenge he is facing in the elections.
