Monday, September 16, 2024

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Jaganmohan Reddy will turn 50 in life by the 21st of this month and he is giving many gifts in return for the voters of Andhra Pradesh. One among them is wooing the school students as their ‘CM Uncle’ got a gift in store for them.

Going into the details, Jagan wants the AP Government schools to be digitized on par with the International Schools. On this note, he has been collaborating with the software company to provide tablets for school students in association with the online learning platform BYJU. The AP education department commissioner Suresh Kumar in a recent press meeting declared that the CM will distribute as many as 4.7 lakhs of Samsung A7 tablets to the 8th grade AP Government school students for them to learn effectively. The tab will cost as much as 15000 per piece and it shall be borne by the AP Government.

The Tab is also linked with both student and his personal caretaking teacher’s performance to make use of technology to the maximum. All in all, the AP education department claims that almost 500 crores will be spent on students exclusively on tabs with a free subscription of BYJU in all the tabs. This is indeed a good initiative by the AP Government as far as government schools are concerned.
